About Me

I am Sue, a home-loving, part-time working wife and Mum of two from South West England. This blog is my happy place. My little piece of the internet where I can share with whoever might be interested, my obsession passion for all things ‘home.’ For me, home is about the people I love, the things with which we choose to surround ourselves and the ever-evolving maintenance of an environment in which we can all be happy, keep up with the demands of family life and continue to carve out time to just ‘be’ together.

My aim is to share my trials (and errors!) in home style, design and decoration, my thoughts on the joys and challenges we face as parents, off-spring, siblings, friends and partners and to try to bring some order to my own life home in the process! Thank you so much for visiting!

Love your blog Sue! A very good read whilst enjoying a cuppa……love the kids rooms – don’t think mine will ever be that organised! But I share your passion for “home” building, a place just to be surrounded with love!

I love the command centre. Really effective and a great use of space too. Trying to imagine if we have a space for one as feel inspired … Perhaps I could create a command centre in the office at work too …

I found your blog via your command centre post over at the iheartorganizing “party”. LOVE your command centre and even more love the fact that your from the UK! I’m Welsh, and I feel like all the best organizing blogs are American, lovely to find a British blog that is equally fabulou 🙂

Look forward to more posts xxx

I love that that you think my blog is fabulous! I had exactly the same thoughts about the lack of UK organising blogs! Welcome, hope to see you back here again soon!

Hi – just found your blog through IHeartOrganising. Saw your patio update and thought at looks like an English house rather than American! I’m in the South West too!

I have some wooden outdoor furniture that I would love to paint but not entirely sure I have the patience! Well done you though – yours looks great.

    • Sue Parfitt says:

Ha! Hi there! Great to see some fellow Brits are reading my blog! Good luck with the garden furniture, the paint is great for standing up to our British weather, it will be worth all the hard work in the end!! Hope to see you back here soon xxx

Hi Sue, just discovered your blog from Lins at Boo & Maddie – excited to discover another blogger from the South West! (not that I can call myself a blogger yet – still very much a novice). I really like your website design and have just read a couple of your recent posts, so now off to have a better snoop around! 🙂

    • Sue Parfitt says:

Ooh, thanks Lucy, I will pop over and have a browse. Discovering new blogs is one of life’s greatest pleasures!! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by and yes, exciting to find another local blogger! Xx

  7. Jo from Organised Jo says:

Hi Sue. I have just found your blog through the #homeetc linky and have just spent the last half an hour stalking your blog, sorry, not sorry! I love your posts and ideas. I have just started my own organising blog and couldn’t find others like mine but so glad there’s yours. I notice you say you are from the South West, I am also, sunny (ish) South Devon. Looking forward to reading more of your posts. Jo. X

    • Sue Parfitt says:

Thanks so much Jo, stalk away!! I’m off to stalk your page now 😉 So happy to hear that you like my blog – I started it inspired by many of the US organising blogs but wanting to offer something relevant to UK readers as well – organising product sources are always helpful but so much harder to come across for UK products. We are based just south of Bath but we love South Devon – such a beautiful part of the country! Look forward to seeing you back here soon xx
