Friday Favourite Five…Home Accessory Sources

Yay, it’s Friday! And better yet, the Friday before a long weekend! To celebrate I thought I would kick off this little series in which I will tell you about my five favourite….anything! This week I’m talking about five of my favourite places to buy home accessories. It’s been so difficult to pick just five and this list changes on an almost daily basis but for now, here are my favourite five…

Parlane

For a pretty, shabby chic feel, look no further than Parlane. Their range includes gorgeous vases, candle holders, sculptures and decorative wall hangings of all shapes and sizes. Prices are usually pretty reasonable which makes them a firm favourite in our house! Parlane sell only through stockists and you can go here to find your nearest but I tend to come across their items in many of the independent boutique-type shops you find in towns and smaller cities. However, you can also snag some of their pieces on Amazon and eBay.

Sia

I first came across Sia when I was looking for some faux-flowers which weren’t completely unconvincing! Sia have a large range of faux-flowers which really are convincing and beautiful. They also do a great line in home accessories as well as some pretty fabulous statement furniture. Some of their prices aren’t for the feint-hearted but the more expensive items are mixed in with some really reasonable finds. I particularly love this silver stool and their Garden furniture is just dreamy! Have a look through their product brochure here, but be warned, you might get carried away! Again, Sia products are available only through their stockists and you can find your nearest by clicking this link.

Gisela Graham

A particular favourite around Christmas and Easter, you can always depend on Gisela Graham for a fabulous festive ornament or pretty gift for a friend. I particularly love their mugs, bunting and fairy lights as well as their photo frames and trinket boxes. Sometimes, if I’m struggling to come up with a present, I will just put ‘Gisela Graham’ into Amazon and I usually find something just right.

Laura Ashley

I think Laura Ashley are hard to beat for beautiful home accessories. So much class and style is on offer and I have always found the quality to be great too. Prices are slightly higher than other high-street retailers though.

Casafina

Casafina is a ‘sale’ site where you can purchase high-end items for less but you have to get them when they are on offer or you miss out. You have to register to access the products and the content of the site changes regularly but there is usually something special. These items are ones I found today but they represent the type of items available. Great for rugs, lighting, vases and outdoor furniture.

Achica

As with Casafina, Achica is a ‘sale’ site to purchase high-end products for less over a limited period. The homeware is, in my experience, usually stunning and I always get sucked in for longer than I intended when I visit! Definitely worth a regular peek! When you sign up, Achica send you emails about items you may find interesting.

Well, after researching this post, I am finding it very hard not to go and buy everything I’ve looked at! So much temptation! What are your favourite places to buy home accessories? I’d love to hear about them in the comments. Until next time….xoxo!
