After being a little ‘under the weather’ and unable to post over the weekend, I thought I would quickly pop in to tell you about these cute Christmas cards my sweet girl wanted to make. We had a window on Friday evening and after a quick scan of Pinterest for inspiration, we got cracking with these fun little festive messages for the family.
There were a few examples of these on Pinterest (here and here and here to pick just a few) and we had been looking for something that used our fingerprints so these were perfect! We roped the boys in and everyone painted their thumb and printed on each card.
Once the paint was dry, we broke out the craft stash and found the ‘googlie’ eyes and teeny red pompoms and stuck them on each one. I drew the antlers and wrote a Christmas message from the family.
These were so easy to make and actually, we had a really lovely evening together doing them while listening to some Christmas music. I’m always tempted to make Christmas cards but realistically, I know it would just put too much pressure on at an already fraught time. So, we usually compromise by making cards for the family. Just enough to satisfy the creative urge without pushing me over the edge!!
Has anyone else been making Christmas cards? Send me a picture, I would love to see them.
